I've been djing for almost 20 years, playing Soul, Hip Hop, Jazz, Funk, Boogie and Broken Beats. My first break was at the Wag and Starlight Rooms with Kiss Fm (94/95) playing with Chris Phillips and Paul Martin amongst others.I believe what sets me apart is my approach to playing various styles of music from a Hip Hop perspective with blends and cuts featuring heavily. I recently returned from my third trip to Japan where I played at the Tokyo Crossover Jazz Festival for the Kyoto Jazz Massive, with other trips to Japan including gigs with UFO and Patrick Forge plus a ten date tour promoting a series of mix cds released exclusively in Japan by HMV. I have also shared sets with Gilles Peterson, Jazzanova, Mad Mats and many more across Europe and the US as well as making regular trips to Brighton for the Jazz Rooms sessions plus my four residencies in London at the Ruby Lounge bars and Market Place. Recent guest spots have been at Smiths, Big Chill Bar, Cargo, Medicine and 93 Feet East to name a few. I am a founder member of the record label Abstract Blue Recordings which released music by Break Reform which I also co-produced. I've recently set up a second label called Futuristica Music which will be releasing music and remixes by Low Budget Soul, Yam Who?, Nostalgia 77, Deborah Jordan (Silhouette Brown), Stark, Kev Brown, Kamara, Blackbeard and more.
